Your account: your email address (it is what signs you in), your handle, your display name and, if you sign in through Google, the profile picture Google returns.

Your captures: the image of the page or the section, the address of the captured page, its title, its description, its favicon, and the associated categories (type, industry, style, visuals).

Your extension token: it links the Chrome extension to your account. It is never stored in clear text — only a cryptographic fingerprint is kept, and generating a new token revokes the previous one.

There is no analytics tool, no advertising tracker and no third-party cookie. The only cookies set are those of your sign-in session.

Blinks is a shared bank: your handle, your display name, your avatar and all your captures are visible to other members — and to any visitor of the site, signed in or not.

Your email address is never displayed nor shared.

So do not capture a page holding information you would not want to make public: a customer portal, a mailbox, an admin interface, a private document.

The extension only ever runs on your explicit action: a click on its icon, then on “Capture”. It does not read your browsing history, does not run in the background, and observes no page you have not pointed it at.

To work, it needs to:

• access the active tab at the moment you click, to photograph it;
• temporarily inject a script into the page, to measure its height, freeze animations and floating bars for the duration of the capture, and display the section picker;
• keep your token and the site address locally, so it knows where to send the capture;
• contact blinks.design and the Cloudflare R2 storage, to deposit the image there.

Nothing else is transmitted, and the extension loads no code from a remote server.

The site runs on Vercel (functions executed in Paris). Accounts and data are with Supabase (Postgres, Western Europe region). Images are on Cloudflare R2.

These three providers act as technical processors: they host the data, they do not exploit it for their own account. No data is sold or passed on to a third party.

Your captures are kept as long as you keep them. You can delete any one of them at any moment from your bank: the database row and the image on R2 are erased right away.

Deleting your account deletes your profile, your captures and your tokens with it. Write to me to ask for it, it is handled within a few days.

You may at any time ask for access to your data, its correction, its export or its erasure, and object to its processing. One address for all of it: theo@melei.studio.

Blinks is a personal project, with no commercial purpose. If a point seems unclear or badly calibrated, say so — the page will be corrected.
